AIDS Resource & COVID-19
Updated April 5, 2021
AIDS Resource remains committed to providing services during the COVID-19 pandemic. HIV and STI testing are currently available by appointment only. Please call either of our offices to schedule an appointment or conveniently schedule your appointment online.
To limit the spread of COVID-19, health screening questions will be asked when scheduling an appointment online or via phone. On the day of your scheduled appointment, you will call the office from your car to answer health screening questions and then a staff member will conduct a temperature screening upon entry to the building. Everyone must wear masks at all times when in the office. If you do not have a mask, a disposable one will be provided upon arrival to the office. Please reschedule your appointment if you have any COVID-19 symptoms.
PrEP services will continue per our doctor’s instruction. When scheduling a PrEP appointment, you will be asked COVID-19 screening questions. On the day of your scheduled appointment, you will call the office from their car to answer health screening questions. A staff member will conduct a temperature screening upon entry to the building. Everyone must wear masks at all times when in the office. If you do not have a mask, a disposable one will be provided upon arrival to the office.
AIDS Resource is offering free condom delivery to residents in our coverage area during the COVID-19 pandemic. To receive condoms, please email your name and complete mailing address to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please indicate if you have a latex allergy. Our coverage area includes Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Lycoming, McKean, Potter, Snyder, and Union Counties.
As a response to abide with physical distancing recommendations and prevent the transmission of COVID-19, AIDS Resource has changed its condom pick-up process. To pick-up condoms, please call the office when you arrive, stay in your car (or outside if walking), and a staff member will bring the condoms to you. Please notify the staff member if you have a latex allergy. Please wear a mask during the transaction.
Support groups, social activities, and food pantries have been temporarily cancelled. AIDS Resource launched the Food Delivery Program at the beginning of the pandemic and this service will continue in lieu of our food pantries until further notice.
